Thank you for the rules.
I vote yes for the 360 degree penalty and NO for the downwind start. There will already be enough carnage.....

- Updated 28 June 2012, 8a
1. 5:45 start time in Wayzata Bay. Timings of warning, prep and start TBD. In the past, Pete has been very good about simply barking out when the next race / starting signal will commence.
2. Keep VHF tuned to channel: 72
3. Scoring: officially scored as a WYC Sunset Series fleet race for Capri 25's. No starts or official scoring will be recognized on the main lake. A composite score/low sum total will be computed as follows:
2a. first place = 1 point. Second place = 2 points, etc. for each completed race.
2b. There will be one throw out of highest point score if four or more races are completed.
2c. Tie breakers per prevailing RRS and as modified (if applicable) by WYC SI.
1. Penalty for fouling another boat: (this may require an email / voice vote)-one complete 360 (instead of 720) for courses that are one full lap or less. The penalty for hitting a mark of course remains unchanged.
2. Starting line: between the RC boat and pin end. Use of an offset at the WW mark.
3. LW rounding: use of a single mark, left to port, (or gate rounding to help spread the fleet)
4. Course settings: mid-course start through the line on a beat to WW, rounding the WW mark and leaving the mark to port, rounding the offset to port, downwind to LW mark and leaving to port, and finishing upwind through the starting line.
5. Starting sequence for subsequent races to begin shortly after completion of the last boat.
6. Pete suggested to consider if we want the last race to start downwind instead of upwind?
