[J22-Fleet 1] Low Water

J/22 Fleet:

 

I talked with Jim Michaelis - boat storage in Glencoe where many J/22s and
J/22 trailers are stored. If you want Jim to pull out your trailer, please
call or text him at 320-304-9828. I contacted Andy as well about putting
cones in the parking lot to allow room for people to pull boats if they
want. I've contacted one J/22 that used the crane to clean is boat last
week. He said it's very weedy. But he was able to get to the crane without
hitting ground last week Friday, Aug. 13. I'm told that one of the J/22s may
have pulled their boat out yesterday. I'm checking to see if there were any
issues. Again, the board is discussing options. I'm sure we'll be hearing
more soon. Just keep you up on what I'm learning. Again, if anyone has

J/22 Fleet:

 

You all likely saw the attached email from Andy regarding the water level at
the crane. It is currently 3'8" to 3'10" next to the crane - see below. A
J/22 drafts 3'8". I talked with Andy, our commodore, and have a call into
the boat storage in Glencoe, where many of us store boats. The board is
contacting other clubs with cranes and discussing several options, including
a potential rocket crane solution. As Andy states, it's your boat - please
be aware that the water level continues to drop. If anyone else has any
insight to share please feel free to call me 952-994-4455. I'll report back
as I learn more.
