I don't think this will solve the #1 problem with the Z course which is
that the course rarely resembles the diagramed course. Windshifts
after the start have resulted in akward placement of the down wind
marks, making it difficult to figure out which way to head.

If the Z course is to succeed, I propose adding a large Round White(?)
mark to designate the downwind right course and keep the large Round
Red for the left mark. Reusing the orange tetras leads to too much
confusion given that they are the starting marks.

Also, every effort should be made to keep the courses seperate and
distinct. Placing the left course downwind mark <100yds from the
starting line is NOT enough seperation of the courses. If the race has
to be set up along the long axis of the lake such that the left and
right courses can't be placed far enough apart, then we simply
shouldn't use it.
