ATTENTION all CAPRI 25 SAILORS!!!

 

 

Following are the nominees for the 2007 Capri 25 Smoozability Award!  All
Capri 25 Boat

Owners and Capri 25 Crew are eligible to vote.  Voting deadline is November
1st.

 

 

Smoozability Award (Keeper Burgee Trophy or other Keeper)
Awarded to the crew member that demonstrates the greatest passion for the
Capri Fleet, smoozability, fun to sail/party with, and volunteerism to the
fleet. Nomination and voting is open to any paid member of WYC who owns a
Capri 25 or regularly crews on a Capri 25. Each owner or crew member is
allowed one nomination and one vote. Those who lease or own a share in a
boat are not eligible to be nominated. Previous winners are not eligible.
Children of boat owners are eligible. Award winners must be a paid crew
member in the WYC log unless the Fleet Captain makes an exception due to
extenuating circumstances.

I nominate Jeff Henninger for the Smoozability Award.  He sails on  
Consensus with Eric Roubal.  The guy is just cool!  He gets along with
everyone.  He is always very helpful and considerate, and he's extremely
quiet about it.  Things seem to "magically" get taken care of when he
is around the boat.  Further, he is a good teacher, and new sailors
appreciate the opportunity to learn from him because of his calm demeanor.

I would be remiss if I didn't nominate Andy Spence-Parsons for the
Smoozability award.  Andy epitomizes this award!

______ Gary Valeninti

 

I  nominate Gary Valentini.

 

Gary has been crewing in the Capri fleet for over 8 years and is a big
reason Offline gets in the water in the spring and off the dock for the
races.  Gary works hard in the off season on the boat and to increase his
sailing knowledge.  Most of all he is all ways willing to share what he
knows and bring new people into the sport, our club and fleet.   Gary is the
essence of Smoozability.
