Maynard's is supplying the Swap Meet with Chili. Uncertain regarding adult beverages but Shackelton Cup sailors are typically resourceful in that area. 

The channel markers are removed right now entering Shorewood YC, so enter from the west side of Frog Island and take on a heading of due south into the marina. Look for shallow areas, but it should be pretty straight forward. 

I'm planning to sail to the swap meet.

  I am thinking of sailing over to the Shorewood Yacht club event that Dallas mentions below next Sunday instead of Maynards.  I mentioned it to Val  to see if the other Shackleton boats are interested in joining.

  Today (11-2) is the last day to personally select your WYC supplied trophy picture.

  BANQUET RESERVATIONS
  Saturday November 7th is your last day to reserve a seat at the banquet. 
  We're ahead of pace from previous years and we may sell out, so visit www.WYC.org to download a form and send it in. 

  Rooms are approximately $89 but online non-refundable rooms can be had for $65. Go online and make an "advance purchase" and make sure it's for the Doubletree in St.Louis Park, MN. 

  ICEBOATING SWAPMEET
  Sunday November 8th is the first annual Seven Seas/Shorewood YC Iceboat Swapmeet. Cool stuff for the iceboaters and really any sailor looking for an excuse to hang out and score some free munchies and refreshments while talking boats.

  Shorewood/Seven Seas was a Richardson Cup sponsor this year and I think they are eager to show off their new facilities, fiberglass shop, chandlery, and of course iceboating savvy. Set up starts at 8:00 and the show goes from 10:00 to 2:00. "Static Displays" welcome. Contact Mike at shorewoodyachtclub.com with silly questions.

  SHACKELTON CUP N.O.R.
  The Halloween Tune-up Race was successfully completed for the Shackelton Cup. This Sunday the real racing begins; and by "real racing" I mean totally not racing at all.  Start time is 11:00am. Races are run snow or shine on at least the following dates: 11/8,  11/15,  11/22, and 11/29.  All and any boats invited. Valerie is our PRO for this event: val.petit16 at yahoo.com

  TROPHY RETURNS
  Tuesday November 10th is the Fleet Captain trophy sorting party at WYC. Please ensure your trophies are returned to the club (cleaned) by that date. Each fleet is requested (read: REQUIRED) to have at least one representative of your fleet help with Trophy Sorting and with Banquet Day Setup. Contact your fleet captain to volunteer or just to check up on them.
