Dear Fleet Members,

On July 31, we are trying a new community outreach event at WYC to help get
kids out on a boat and to also help promote our sailing center.  The event
is being held together with the local Cub Scouts but is not limited to
Scouts.

The event will start with a mini sailboat gutter race on the grounds, a
safety boating talk,  then sailing on Lake Minnetonka and finally BBQ dinner
after.  Please see the attached flyer for details and how to sign up!

 

We have reviewed this event with Dallas and he will be participating as
well.

 

Most importantly, in order to make this event possible we are asking for
volunteer skippers or crew to join with their boats to help provide the
rides.  In return you get a free dinner and satisfaction of sharing sailing
with kids!

 

So far we have Dallas' boat and my boat (Cyclone) and have started
discussions with Persistence and Jalapeño, however we need more boats!
