Got it and waiting for summer, what west had is what I need, except for the
aluminum section.

Now, I am also looking for bushings for the rudder to eliminate some of the
slop.

Rick never count on Catalina to use the same parts. rub rail depending on
day and year it was built but for 95% of the Capri's, West Marine Minnetonka
has the vinyl insert that will fit. You will want to measure the width.
The modern Capri's like Dakota have the wider rub rails and require a
different insert. Some of the Capri's also have had accidents and a had a
different size installed. So measure each side (twice).

West Marine Minnetonka purchased a 250 foot roll of vinyl because the
standard vinyl rub rail length is 50 feet. It will take about 58 feet if
you replace the whole thing without any breaks so say 60 feet. The ends
come together in the middle of the stern. WM Minnetonka has 190 feet.
first come first served. Offline has taken 60 feet and Wahoo wants 60?
feet.

We can always order more but it took 3 months and a lot of bribing in
Mandarin to get the 250 foot roll. You can get any color you want as long
as it black.

Catalina Direct gave me another vendor source but the pricing was
outrageous. don't even go there. They don't have and use the old style size
either. And the shipping cost was more than the cost of the rail and vinyl
at West.

Off the top of my head the vinyl insert is $51 for 60 feet. I can't recall
what the aluminum sections cost.

As always more info then anyone cared to know.

Scott and I appreciate your lists so that we can get product, do research,
and help you out.

West Marine Minnetonka will also- shall match any ones internet pricing.
You can call us at 952-545-5540. Purchasing at the retail store instead of
WM.com- (or having it sent to store) helps the store out and allows us to
donate more to the Capri Nationals - Star of the North Regatta. So call us
at Minnetonka and we can order it for you and you won't pay any shipping.

Dallas often provides us with a count down. but my best guess is the Lake
will get soft on April 10th. And I think we are at 61? days until the Tune
Up Race.

Some of us take 30 days just to put our list together.

Doug has a bunch of the insert by the foot at West in Minnetonka and

we can order the aluminum extrusion just need to know how much needs

replacing. Another good source for Capri parts in general is Catalina

Direct.
