[Capri25] Flow

My sailboat, motor and trailer are covered on a seperate Boat Owners policy ($87/yr) with State Farm.  They will only write the boat policy if you have either home or car insurance with them also.
There is no exception for racing that would exclude coverage etc. and there is no need to identify who the skipper is.  The insurance follows the boat.  They have paid several claims with no questions over the years and its the best insurance deal I have.  I also get a small safety discount becasue I have my boat inspected by the Coast Gaurd Auxillary every year.

If your boat is a motor boat that you want to insure and its used for racing then they have exclusions.  I also asked my State Farm agent and they do not cover groups of boats.

FYI - Most policies specify that Racing is not covered ...unless it's a sailboat.

Prior to recently changinghomeowners I had my capri 25 and an MC scow covered for replacement andliability for ~250 per year as an external policy via allstate. With my newhomeowners it is covered to to the same limits for no additional cost, including on-lake liability.-MattOn 4/19/13 8:25 AM, Odell Tuttle wrote:> Judging from the number of stern rails, bow pulpits, masts, and> stanchions we've gone through... we'd probably be a high-risk group.>>> *Odell Tuttle*>> Chief Technology Officer> *XRS Corporation*> 965 Prairie Center Drive> Eden Prairie, MN 55344> c 651.925.7728> http://www.xrscorp.com/ <http://www.xata.com/>>>>> On Fri, Apr 19, 2013 at 8:22 AM, Dutch Bull <dbull at northernim.com> <mailto:dbull at northernim.com>> wrote:>>     I would have to look it up, but I believe Magic is paying
