[Capri25] Raceqs G Series Link

Hi Sailors,

A link for the G series on Raceqs has been set up. Anyone who does not have a Raceqs account or did not race can view the series here.

You can pull up your races through your account. The fleets and marks for the race last Thursday night are set but we are still learning the best way to handle the admin side of the app for future races. Through your oen account you can adjust marks, which boats are visible, etc.

Be sure to watch the tutorial videos in Raceqs to get a better understanding of their methodology. I've been playing with it since SOTN last year and found the videos helpful.

There are also some interesting examples of ways you can combine Raceqs with Gopro video that are covered in their podcast.
I'm excited about this tool and how it can help us reach our sailing goals.

Couple of comments.  I’m on iPhone.  Android version may vary.

For Preset start, after selected scheduled launch day and hour, be sure to touch green “Save” in upper right corner.
Should return to home screen with message “will start at xxx.”

After the race, I touched “save & upload” but track did not appear on RaceQ web-site. 

I went back to my phone, selected the track, and uploaded again.  No joy.
Under “Settings > Account”  found I was not logged in. 

Logged in and reloaded again.  After 30min, found it under “My Journal” (had been checking “Race Feed”).

User interface appears to have been significantly upgraded since last fall. Wind direction, line, and marks appear (did someone put those in manually?).
A pair of J22 including yours truly, are automatically recognized as racing against each other. 

“Other Divisions” include a J24 and a number of Sonars and Capri 25’s (you can turn individual boats on/off).

Mine started and I told it to stop/upload after the race, but I’m guessing it didn’t.

It had the track recorded, so I told it to upload again.

Mine did not work either. Anybody with an Android get their tracks to work? I use the auto start feature so much for that
