[J22-Fleet 1]North Americans Planning Meeting Tuesday 9/27

Hello Fleet #1,

 

As we discussed at the Evergreene Cup, please join us next Tuesday evening, 9/27 at the club for a planning session for the 2006 North Americans. We will start at 6:30 and it should last 1-2 hours.

 

Everyone is welcome - and needed!  The purpose of the meeting is to review where we are so far, get additional people involved, complete the planning and budgeting, and set a schedule for at least the rest of this year.    

 

There are a number of areas where we need assistance.  Among them are:  

 

- Housing chair

- Registration, weigh-in, launching, mooring, etc.  (see Jappa or Lars) 

- Social (see Nick)

- Sponsorship (see Jon, Nicolie, or MB)

- Opening and closing ceremonies

- Web development (see Dallas or Dan Towey)

- Media / public relations

- and others we haven't even thought of yet! 

 

As George outlined, the Fleet is very strong and this will only help us to grow and thrive.  Let's make this a PREMIER WYC and J-22 class event!
