[J24 ListSrv]Spartite?

Anyone have any experience with replacing the J/24 mast blocks with
Spartite?  I think the ol' wooden blocks have finally given up the ghost,
and I'm looking for a more durable solution.  I'm also curious if anyone's
tried doing this in the water, or if I need to find a more level parking
spot and a gin pole...
 
Looks like Spring's getting close!
