Subject: Kirby Cup

The Season is not over!! After a great North American Championship -
well hosted by Skip Shumway and the Rochester Yacht Club - and the New
Englands on the Vineyard, the Sonar Class still has several great events
on the schedule:

1.	The Long Island Sound Championships will be at Noroton Yacht
Club, CT, on September 16 and 17. This should be a great event, with
good September winds on the Sound. The NOR's are on the website,
sonar.org.
2.	The Great Lakes Championships will be on Sept. 30 and October 1
at the Lake Geneva YC. The NOR's are on Sonar.org.
3.	On October 7 & 8, Fleet 24 and the Seawanhaka Corinthian Yacht
Club will be hosting the Kirby Cup. This is the premier Class
Sanctioned Team Racing Event for the Sonars and is in the honor of our
the designer of our great boat, Bruce Kirby. It is an invitational
event, with each Fleet asked to declare their intention to compete to
Seawanhaka or the Class. Seawanhaka will be providing boats. The NOR's
will be posted shortly on the website.

Remember, it is a short season already, don't let the kids going back to
school make it even shorter!

Stay tuned to sonar.org to know what is coming up and what has happened
in Sonars.
