my opinion is Old sails on days over 15 mph..unless of course you need a good performance for placing purposes..but then it really comes don to how often can you afford to replace them? I am going with one new sail per year..jib, main and then spin... gets too much for me otherwise/

Subject: [Sonar] Protecting newer sails

Does it make sense to use old sails on days when it is very windy in order to make the new sails last longer? At what wind speed should I consider using the old jib or the old main?

20mph?

25mph?

Thursday?
