[Sonar] Lowisa - Average Points?

Calculation of average points, as we need to use it, appears in A10(a).
"points equal to the average , to the nearest tenth (0.05 to be rounded
upward) of her points in all the races in the series except the race in
question.

At WYC average points is a fleet decision.  Lake Geneva has a well defined
system but they travel to many events as families of people as well as
boats.

Lowisa is NOT a Sonar Sanctioned event.
However,  I do believe we discussed this at the fleet meeting and possibly
in prior emails.

As far as average points (Ernest do you know the "official" rules for the
Sonar average points?)
I believe to get average points ....
1)  Your boat needs to go to the event.
2)  You need to request average points prior to the event.
I think in the case of Lowisa it was decided that anyone that went could
receive average points.
3)  As Mark describes below the Thursday before the regatta was not
necessary therefore it would not be eligible for average points.

There is a lot more to this like the way average points are calculated and
they only count for the specific series and NOT the overall Champ or Sunset.
I will try to dig up what I have on our decisions regarding average points
unless someone like Ernest gets to it first.

Last night was a reminder of just how fun BumperBoats in the bay can be :)
