Hi All,
This Thursday evening we are having a beer and pizza party with
speaker at the WYC. Lets support one of our own. Come to the
clubhouse this Thursday night at 6:30 p.m. to hear our own Ernie
Brody tell tales of high seas adventure. This man sailed with
Christopher Columbus on the Nina, the Pinta and the Santa
Maria. Maybe he will sing a sea chanty or two. Perhaps he will
regale you with stories about exciting afternoons on Lake Minnetonka,
and tips for passing the hours of postponement while waiting for the
wind. Bring a piece of rope and you may learn to make Ernie's
"bowline that never fails" with one hand behind your back. Bring
rigging questions. You can learn the history of all the Sonars in Fleet 5

Invite your friends who have been wanting to try sailing. This
evening of "sailorspeak"could be the bait that reels them in.

Only $20 includes pizza and beer. "Tips from an Old Salt" is the
first of four "dinner and a show" evenings scheduled at the
WYC. Register now for all four for only $60! That's a $15 fun
dinner evening with your sailing friends.
