Fellow Sonar Sailors,

Tommorrow evening is shaping up to be ideal for our team racing event. It's forcast to be 80 degrees and sunny, Wind WNW at 10 mph. It doesn't get any better.

Since the club is technically closed tommorrow, I suggest BYOB for after our team racing event. I'm sure we'll have a lot to talk about and it would be great to have a social time afterwards like we do on a regular Thursday night. So . . . whatever your pleasure, bring your own beer, wine, pop etc. to have after the racing concludes.

So far we have 8 boats and 29 people committed. There may be more that come out of the woodwork, however, with 8 boats x 4 = 32 is about the maximum. If we can get a 9th boat on the water we can have 3 teams. With 8 boats we can either rotate boats into a 6 boat rotation (3 on 3) or try our hand at 4 boats on 4 boats. We've never done 4 on 4 but it would add another dimension and ensure everyone is racing.

Here's what we have so far.

Boats/Crew
Gusto - John Sligh, Liz Sligh, Jeff Harris
Surly Angel - Marty Fossen, Cheryl Schweiss, Laurie Wrobel
Presto - Joe Beckey, Crew 1, Crew 2, Crew 3
Bat Mobile - Duane Olmsted, Sarah Olmsted, BNathan Olmsted, Bill O'Reilly
Believe - Allan Green, Jill Dunning-Harris, Steve Johnson, Evan Green
Liberty - Mark Kochendorfer, Brenda Gensch, Shelly Gooley, Dan Hollinger
Brouhuha - Allison Hubel, Allison's Crew, Tom Brown, Jerry Hammann
Sonar 822 - John Graves, Ernie Brody, Beth Carpenter

Let me know asap if I'm missing anyone on the list above.

Marty and I need a boat owner for a volunteer to show up at 4:30 p.m. to help set-up the course. Both of our motors are in the shop. Any volunteers?

See you tommorrow at 5 p.m. sharp.

John Sligh
