[Sonar] Wally Ross

Most of you are too new to the Sonar Fleet to have known about Wally Ross.
Wally created Ross Marine, Inc. which built the original mold and financed
the Sonar class of club racing sailboats in the late 1980's.  In the 90s he
left the business and sold the molds to Skip Shumway who we deal with now.

Wally passed away on August 23.  Among his other exploits, Wally wrote the
book "Sail Power" which at the time of its publication was the definitive
text on technical sailing.  He also started Hard Sails (Every sailor needs a
Hard on).  

I met him in Noroton in the early 80s.  He was a great guy and very
enthusiastic about the boat and sailing in general.
