[Sonar] 4:00 Update.. - This Week Sonar Sailing & Social - Friday 6/3 - PLEASE RSVP!

The forecast has gotten worse.
WE WILL NOT be going out tonight.
I will try to make better calls in the future but as this storm had no
lightning in it I was willing to take the chance that it would clear before
sailing time.

I will still be at the club so feel free to come for some Social.... I am
expecting a fairly low turnout.

Rain looks likely to be clearing after 6:00 ... (very much in flux at the
current time)
One more cell does appear to be developing.

CURRENT PLAN...
Plan on arriving around 6:00 we will make the call at that time.
IF we make the call to not go out we will start the Social at 6:30

If you have not done so already please RSVP so I know how much food to
prepare.

Friday Night Sonar Sailing and Social........

EVERYONE welcome!

Last Friday was a blast.



This Friday Forecast;

70s Winds SW 10-13



There is a chance of rain .... My plan is to do a 2:00pm update if the rain
looks like it will be an issue.

Even if we do not sail due to weather we will still gather for the Social!



PLEASE show up at any time!!!!

*I expect that people will be joining us as the night progresses we
typically run short courses to keep things exciting!*

My hope is that boats will start leaving the dock by 5:30+ and continue to
JOIN IN THE FUN until we call it a ON-THE-WATER wrap by 7:45

*(If you arrive and no one is at the docks call us on VHF 68 or try
flagging us down by going to the end of D dock)*



I will make the food arrangements of burgers, fixings, chips and the other
goodies.  BYOB $5 per

What is it about???? ....

The intent is that we get NEW and experienced people out to enjoy
some SONAR sailing in Wayzata Bay followed by social time at the club. You
do NOT need to be an active Sonar fleet participant and you do NOT need to
bring a boat or regular crew. The number of people, boats, general
experience level and weather conditions will determine the on-the-water
(Fleet and or Team Racing) plus the on shore fun for the evening.



No boat necessary. Please let me know if you are bringing a boat or need a
ride.

Not necessary but I do ask that you RSVP to me if you are planning sail and
/ or just come to the social. I want to have an idea of the number of boats
and people to expect on the water and for the social after racing.
