All:

We have two top level uss and international judges in our midst that are
willing to build our fleet level knowledge on the application of the part 2
rules. (Kevin Kenny and Bruce Martenson)

They've agreed to meet with us on Friday, November 4 at 7pm at the club
house.

Bring your rule books, either hard copy or online (you can get them right
to your phone). You'll need them real time!

The objective of this session is to learn how the part 2 rules are
interpreted/adjudicated in a way that we can learn to avoid the protest
room, or on the other hand, know how to make decisions as to when to best
assert our rights on the race course in a way that the protest is likely to
be won.

It will be based on pre-screened scenarios that will be collected from
Sonar fleet members over the next week or so. Out of consideration of the
judges time, it will not be an open Q/A session for the most part.

While the part 2 rules of course apply to all classes, the scenarios
covered will be specific to the Sonar hull length, handling
characteristics, place in the normal WYC sequence etc.

It looks like there will be refreshments provided by the Sonar #5 fleet
funds. TBD

I'll have more soon about the method and time frame to submit scenarios to
the panel.
