Additional notes…

Treasury: Revenue on the crew lot was $150k and has helped the club.  There was an update on line of credit usage.  Financially, the club is doing well.

Race Committee: Significant repairs on committee boats (Upper unit was replaced in Bailiff - work was done on Juris to keep it from overheating).

Website: JR requested there be a ticketing system that is publicly accessible to allow requests for content missing, to have a point of contact, and try to avoid repetitive inquiries.  This was viewed as a good idea by the board and website committee.

Membership Committee: The Sonar fleet was recognized for its efforts with the Crew Draft Party as an example to connect crew with boats (Thanks Kate!).

PUD: Planned Unit Development agreement protects the WYC - for example, prior to PUD, if WYC club house burned down, couldn’t rebuild it.  Significant effort to accomplish and a major contribution by the past 3 commodores.  PUD covers work to be done with WCSC, parking lot changes, etc.

There was a members meeting tonight at WYC.

Wyc meeting notes

Emphasis on sportsmanship

Wyc bought 20 seats of a UK Rules Quiz. See JR or Terry or Kevin... expectation is that eventually we will all know a login.

Establishment Class:  3 boat minimum, 3 yrs to get 5 boats to complete ABCGTM to make a class.   We have 3 J70s


Race Committee
Schedule, new stuff:
     Double header Sunday's. Scored as A, Champ and it's own series.
     Fleet Challenge and Fall Regatta combined as same race.
     Lots of big regattas, need volunteers
     3 new committee members, 4 new trainees.
     Committee boats much work done
     A dock done on Friday morn
     Thurs is a tune up
     This Sunday is "Ice Out" cup, not part of A series or Champ
      Normal schedule resumes after 20th.

Volunteerism:
     Need help with Mallory and Women's Regatta.
     Mallory = US Adult Championships ("Champ of Champs")  contact Odell.
      Women's = 1st year.  30% of WYC are women.  Sept 14-16.  In Sonars.  Need more hands.  Next meeting May 27.  See Alison Huble.
   WoWB :  see Barb or Kathy Arndt.

Facilities:
   PUD and Development agreement required $1.7 million of work over 20 year.
Using cash and line of credit (at 4.7%), to get as much done as possible.  Got East lot done using money from parking.  Forcast to get improvement in 20 yrs.  Will do it in about 7 or 8 years.   Saving money getting it done faster.  See Randy Gould if you have questions.

PUD. Started 2009/10.  Signed in 13.
Codified our agreements with City, and fixed the disagreements we had.  See



Web site:
Odell did a ton of work moving platforms.
Bruce Eaton got branding updated
Next step is to get all payments through site.
Site content can be done by non web developer.

Membership committee:
Barb, Andy and Todd.  Looking to grow the committee.  Need more idea's on getting new crew involved.

Bylaws and policy:
Need some updates to rules to cover some societal changes and other realities. Board is convening a committee to work on them.  see Charlie or Ernie.
