Ding Dong! The ice is gone. Which old ice? The main lake ice!
Yes, it's morally, ethic'lly, spiritually, absolutely, undeniably and
reliably gone!

ICE OUT
In a surprise move Lake Minnetonka main lake relieved it's self of most ice
sometime Tuesday morning. Large flows are still floating around, but it's
back is broken and spring is here. Steve Bren has personally guaranteed a
clear main lake by Saturday. A sigh of relief from Cool Regatta Chairman
George Hanson was heard over much of the western suburbs. So let the joyous
news be spread, the wicked old ice at last is dead!

COOL REGATTA
The Cool Regatta is ON for this weekend. Find a ride, buy a boat, steal a
boat. Just be there.

WAYZATA SAILING CENTER J22 PROGRAM
On a related note, the Cool family has generously donated Joe Cool (J22 #22)
to the Community Sailing Center. The boat will be used for some youth
programs and to add a few adult programs to the mix. These new programs are
great for those who don't want to race, but want to learn more about
sailing.

MAY SEMINARS
Saturday and Tuesday Bert-n-Ernie Show seminars are starting in ONE WEEK.
These are perfect for experienced sailors, a great place to find crew, and
perfect for anyone who wants to get into sailboat racing. Classroom on
Tuesdays, On The Water on Saturdays.

CREW MEMBERSHIP
Just to be clear on our last notice about crew memberships.
- Guests are more than welcome, bring them all.
- If they stick around, after six races it's time to talk about a crew
membership ($75).
- If you didn't figure out the fine print, this means that if you're a
perpetual guest of the club the boat you are racing on could be protested
for your perpetual guestness. So please, don't be that person.

CLEAN UP THANKS
Tom Sawyer (Steve Bren) would like to thank all the people who showed up for
cleanup day last Saturday. Great turnout, lots of kids helping out, Brawt's
were fantastic.

ICE OUT CONTEST
We are still awaiting final word from Bob at the Barber's Inn, but it
appears we have a nail bitter between Chris Fittipaldi and Lew Sacks. If the
powers that be can get a boat from Wayzata to Excelsior before 11:57pm
tonight Chris wins, if not Lew wins. Stay tuned to ESPN 2 for reports. A
dated WYC Burgee goes to the winner.

Texana's going out for some re-con. See you at the COOL!
