MEMBERSHIP SOCIAL
April 29th (Thursday) at 6:30 we're having a membership social. This is a great opportunity for members to meet people and see what's going on at the club this season. We have a series of speakers making brief presentations (10 minutes) about WYC, Seminars, Crewing, MS CUP and RC, the MWST, Lake Superior and AIS, the ADA, Leech Lake and LOWISA, and the WCSC. Whoa, that's alot of content. Fortunately there will be beverages and food to wash it all down with. Be There!

ADA GALA
Tickets for the Diabetes Gala on May 15th at Treasure Island Casino are selling fast. For those who don't know this is a "beyond category" kitchen pass event. Bring your significant to this and you will be golden for the entire season. It's for a good cause, it involves getting dressed up, you might meet someone famous, and it's not specifically about the #$^@% (your significant's words) yacht club. When ordering tickets, make sure you specify you're with the WYC and you'd prefer to be seated near or with other WYC people, or just get a table of eight and bring the crew.

Saturday April 24th from 9:00am till grillin' time.  This is simple stuff that doesn't take a rocket scientist, and if you make a suitable donation to the grillin' supplies Steve will let you play with the power tools.

ADULT KEELBOAT INSTRUCTOR CERTIFICATION
Remember Captain Ron? Well that could be you. Sign up to take a US Sailing Certified Instructor course at the Sailing Center on May 7-9. This is a big deal and you'll become a big deal sailor by learning these skills. Honestly, as a former keelboat instructor, seeing past students fulfill their dreams of sailing is and experience that's hard to beat. If you're thinking about it, that means you should do it.
