Wayzata Yacht Club


 The WYC is holding a SHORT half day regatta to create an opportunity for
families to sail together in a fun event, have a children’s picnic, and
raise a little money for the WCSC.



There will be 3 VERY SHORT races with lots of special prizes for boats with
children.  As an incentive to the boat owners to load up their boat with
children, they will receive scoring credits for the number and ages of
children on their boat.  Invite your friends, neighbors, or co-workers to
bring their children.


 *Schedule*

9:00 - 10:00 am Final Registration

10:00 am Brief skippers meeting

11:00 am First warning for race 1 in Wayzata Bay. Races 2 and 3 to follow

After racing: Picnic and awards


 *The Picnic*

Kid style hot dogs, pop, and a special ice cream bar, plus balloons, face
painting, gutter races, etc.

*Scoring*
Points are subtracted for each child on board
3 Points: Each child less than 6 years old
2 Points: Each child 6-12 years old
1 Point: Each child 13-16 years old
1 Point: Each non-racing parent
Double the age points for youth skippers.

*Prizes*

Of course there will be prizes for the boat and for the children.



*Entry Fee*

The entry fee is $20 per adult and will include the picnic and snack packs
for the kids on the water.  Makes Checks to Wayzata Community Sailing
Center (WCSC).
