[Capri25] Frank Butler RIP

I remember my old boss, Tom Collins at Midwest Yachts in Tonka Bay/Excelsior was invited out by Frank Butler to tour Catalina’s facility in about 1976. It was an impressive operation and we ended up with the Catalina dealership. Good quality cruiser for the money and we sold a ton of 22’s and 30’s.  Frank always seemed helpful and easy to work with and many Catalina owners had direct access to him.

 Fun fact story about him and his wife:
about ten years ago  when I was helping with the SOTN soliciting sponsorship donation gifts from corporations etc. for the SOTN regatta, I called Catalina and talked to him and he was very helpful and forwarded me to his wife.  She ended up donating a week at their exclusive condo in puerto vallarta  MX for our grand prize.

 His wife was a pleasure to deal with.   Great family, may he rest in peace
