WYC WEATHERMARK - SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

SATURDAY - AUGUST 13TH - SALLY BARKOW TO PROVIDE FREE RACE RECAP AFTER WYC WOMEN'S CUP RACE

We've made a special addition to Saturday's Women's Cup Race.

Sally Barkow will be watching the Women's Cup Races, taking notes, and after the races she will provide a free follow-up seminar in the clubhouse. This is open to all competitors and is FREE of charge. Women's racing is important at our club and we feel that having one of the best female sailors in the world is only fitting for our final Women's Cup Race.

The seminar will take place in the clubhouse after the race. Seating will be ladies first. No admission, this is sponsored by WYC.

Sally Barkow has been racing on the international level for four years and is already the current Yngling World Champion, current Women's World Match Racing Champion, a three time Collegiate All-American, the defending Rolex Women's Keelboat Champion, and all around rock star. This is an excellent opportunity to visit with one of the best sailors in the world.
Her complete resume is available at http://www.sailing.org/bio.asp?ID=USASB12

ADVANCED WOMEN'S SEMINAR
An Advanced Seminar will be held after the free seminar from 1:30 to-5:00pm. This will include mostly on the water training with some classroom time. This is an excellent opportunity to have one of the best sailors in the world observe your sailing and provide immediate feedback from a chase boat.

Cost is $120 per boat for skipper and crew in Sonars, J22's, Ynglings. These boats are preferred, but other boats can also attend @ $30 per person (minimum 3 people). If you don't have a boat but wish to crew, contact Jenny Child of the MWST before or after the Women's Cup Race and she will place you with a boat (or call 612-616-0804). First availability goes to women in J22's, Sonars, or Ynglings, followed by other boat types like Capri's, followed by those of the male persuasion.

Sorry for the short notice on this. Please spread the word to those you know who may be interested.

See you on the water! The weather forecast is excellent.
