Hello all

I see that we already have one Sonar in the water.
I am working diligently to get Soñar in the water.

I noticed last year that my spreaders were loose and ordered the kit from
Shumway this winter.
I just got my boat out of storage this Saturday and now that I can look at
the mast, I see that I currently have a different set up than what I have
seen on most other boats.
My mast is the original mast but I believe someone made a repair to the
spreaders earlier.
I currently have a single plate that wraps around the front of the mast in
stead of the two separate plates in the repair kit.
Has anyone else had this?
I am concerned that if I remove this plate, that is riveted on with pop
rivets, and now replace it with the new plates from Shumway that I will be
adding additional holes in the mast at a place that is already a weak
link.
Does anyone have any experience with this or can anyone offer any opinion.

Thanks for your help with this.

Howard
