MORNING LIGHT - The Movie
May 20th the Roy Disney movie Morning Light is coming to Lake Minnetonka. Our beloved Excelsior Dock movie theater has generously donated their theater for One Night Only as a fundraising event to benefit the Wayzata Community Sailing Center. Robbie Haines, Olympic gold medalist who coached the team, will be here at a WYC pre-movie book signing and will personally introduce the movie at the Dock along with a Q&A afterwards.

Check out the pages below to see what the movie is all about.

DOC PIERPONT
At 94 years of age, Doc Pierpont passed away last week. If you race on Superior, you sail in Doc Pierpont's wake. He co-founded the Trans-Superior race in 1969 along with much of the racing we now enjoy on Superior. Hearing Doc Pierpont stories during an offshore race remains a rite of passage for anyone sailing on the Great Lakes. Fair winds, Doc.
