BANQUET RESERVATIONS
Tuesday October 27th is your deadline for discounted $45 seats. Thank you to Don Sundell for working a 20% discount over last year while increasing the swankyness factor.  Seats go up to $55 after Tuesday. You can submit an online PDF order form from www.WYC.org  Notice: seats are going fast, and space is limited.

Banquet Night Rooms are also available. Regular reservations are $89 something, but our secret shopper Valerie Petit has found that online non-refundable rooms can be had for $65. Go online and make an "advance purchase" and make sure it's for the Doubletree in St.Louis Park, MN. 

SILENT AUCTION
It's all online now! You can view auction items and even make a bid online before the banquet night. Our goal is for every boat in the club to make at least one donation. Has your boat donated yet???  Check it all out....

SHACKELTON CUP N.O.R.
Sorry Steve, but popular demand has brought back the Shackelton Lunch "Races" to Maynard's. Racing will commence THIS SATURDAY (costumes optional) and all following Saturdays until ice-in or sanity prevails. Start time is somewhere between 10:00-11:00am or whenever it feels good. Leading boats must complete a 720 if their lead exceeds shouting distance. Races are run snow or shine on at least the following dates: 10/31,  11/8,  11/15,  11/22, and 11/29.  Valerie is our PRO for this event: val.petit16 at yahoo.com

TROPHY RETURNS
Tuesday November 10th is the Fleet Captain trophy sorting party at WYC. Please ensure your trophies are returned to the club (cleaned) by that date. Each fleet is requested (read: REQUIRED) to have at least one representative of your fleet help with Trophy Sorting and with Banquet Day Setup. Contact your fleet captain to volunteer or just to check up on them.

CHERYL PAUL
A longtime friend of the club and Race Committee volunteer, Cheryl Paul passed away unexpected last week. Her partner Craig Lofgren sailing the J22 fleet in the 90's, they were both active in the club through the 90's and into the first part of this decade.
