[Sonar]Bailers / Leaky Sonar

I don't know how common this is, but I taped up my bailers from the outside and put a few cups of water in each bailer pocket. Within seconds a slow but steady trickle of water was visible from inside running down into the bilge.

After removing the bailer flanges and digging out all the silicone, I can see that I have a crack in each bailer pocket right where the cockpit mates to the hull. This is not at all visible from the inside the hull.

Given that this crack is well below water line, this explains a lot of the water. I was never sure, but it seemed like it did not need to rain for Liberty to leak.

This might be kind of hard to fix--there must be some movement between the cockpit mold and the hull even though they appear to be solidly glassed together.

Diane and I enjoyed our first banquet. Our thanks to all who put this on--next time I will find a tux or suit at least.
